After praying with me using the audio, I would encourage you to write the Bible verse used in prayer on a card. (Two simple 4″x6″ prayer cards are available as a free download, or feel free to use a blank index card you already have.) Your prayer cards can be used again and again as you continue to talk to God in prayer.

I’m humbled to admit the following: When I read your question I thought about it and realized I’ve become a neglectful wife. What should have been an easy question with an immediate response was instead used of our Lord to initiate an internal pondering of my neglect as a Christian wife. Somewhere along the way I became “busy” and forgot to wield this powerful tool to strengthen and protect my husband in his daily journey of life. Ugh! Thank you for asking and being a channel of God to convict me in this area.
I am now in the process of gathering not only from my husband, but all my children, their spouses, and my grands their favorite verses. I think the verses that are presently dear to their heart are worthy of using to pray intentionally on their behalf. So starting immediately I am using Colossians 3:17 as I come to the Throne of Grace on behalf of my dear husband.
Gathering favorite Bible verses from family members to use as you pray for them is a wonderful idea Barb! :-) Thank-you for sharing the idea with us! And thank-you for Colossians 3:17, a great verse to use as we pray for our husbands! Also appreciate your humility, openness and learner’s heart. Hugs are being sent your way.
I like Psalm 17:15 as a prayer for my husband (and myself and children too): “As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”
Psalm 17:15 is a great verse to pray for your family Gabrielle! Thanks for sharing and for praying!😊 Have a wonderful week! Hugs.
